Tattoo as a form of expression and individuality is no longer exclusively for men. Women of today also wear tattoos as a form of fashion or a representation of who they really are. Although getting a tattoo will cause bearable pain to a person, women endure this pain order to achieve self fulfillment.

Tattoos have so many interpretation and meaning. It may be a picture of a long departed family member, a departed pet, an achievement, or even a chapter on one’s life that they don’t want to forget. For others, tattoos do not have to carry a story; they just have to look good and trendy.

It seems like everyone I meet these days has a tattoo, both men and women. There are tattoos of every imaginable design; there are large tattoos that can coverpractically a person’s entire body. There are small tattoos that can easily be hidden or proudly displayed. There’s no reason today not to enjoy at least one small tattoo.

In today’s age, tattoos are very popular, and it seems as of most people now have at least one small tattoo somewhere, hidden away waiting to be discovered. Of course, tattoos have become so widely accepted, that you’ll also often see them on exposed areas of the body, such as the wrist.  Tattoos on the wrist can still be hidden away by a piece of jewelry such as a watch, or a bangle bracelet.

Women today are getting a tattoo as a fashion statement. Scary tattoos and gang tattoos are things of the past. Women today get a tattoo as a body art that represents their personality. For some women, a cute and feminine tattoo design is sufficient to satisfy their fashion tattoo urges.

The most important thing to consider in getting a tattoo is that it is your own personal choice. When consulting other persons, take only their opinion if you think it is worthy of considering, otherwise, just get the tattoo.

Flower tattoos are a favorite of a lot of women. I could write an entire book about nothing but flower tattoos, as the possiblities are endless!

If you see a small tattoo on a friend and it happens to be a flower, ask her what it means, where she had it done, and if she’s happy with it. I have a friend who has a beautiful hibiscus tattoo on her right hip, in gorgeous colors of coral and red; it’s stunning. I have another friend who has a tattoo of orange blossoms on her shoulder, also quite beautiful. Read more »

Tattoo designs are plenty and that fact makes choosing the right tattoo even harder. If you have many styles and designs to choose from, you will have a hard time selecting the most beautiful and best that will suit you. When your friends see your new tattoo, most will ask you the same question - did that hurt?  How much did it hurt?  Chances are that you’ve asked the same question yourself when you’ve spied a new tattoo on a friend or acquaintance.  The truth is that no answer is really correct.  Unfortunately, there’s no true way to tell how much pain there will be when you get a tattoo.  Maybe it won’t be as painful as you imagined, or else it could actually hurt a little bit more than you expected.  Sometimes it’s possible that getting a tattoo could hurt more than it should, for example if you’re extremely nervous or if you haven’t prepared your skin properly. You will want to carefully choose the tattoo parlor where you get your tattoo.  Make sure that the tattoo parlor is absolutely spotless; also make sure that the tattoo artist is clean!  I know, that sounds ridiculous, but remember that this person is going to be using a needle on your skin, so make sure that you’re extra choosy about where you go to get your first small tattoo! There are many options for small tattoos for men. While women may choose butterflies and flowers, few men would make that choice! Women also tend to choose their tattoos based on wearing them as if they were a piece of jewelry, such as flowers tattooed around a wrist.
